I'm always a little wary of buying shoes for my dolls that are above the ankle, because the ankles are hard to move when they wear high boots, so it can be hard to make them stand.
But these boots are very well made and are a little roomy around the ankles, so my EID can still turn his feet and stand very sturdy!
